I want some additional information regarding Clearing My Texas Record.
In Texas, there is typically three ways you can either seal or erase your criminal record. Each one has specific requirements regarding what cases may qualify so it is important to have information related to the offense you want to clear from your record.
As a general rule, a case may qualify for an expunction or expungement if the case was never filed, dismissed, you were found not guilty, or the offense was pardoned.
Cases may qualify for non-disclosure if you successfully complete deferred adjudication probation and have no other criminal cases during the applicable waiting period.
All other cases must be pardoned to qualify for an expunction. If you received regular or straight probation, jail time, prison time, or paid a fine.
These are just general guidelines to get you started on your search.
